After a "down day" yesterday I resolved not to replay my melancholy mood today.
What went wrong and how could I bypass the blues I wondered?
Do things differently and get different results, I decided.
So today has been my "George from Seinfeld day" when he did the opposite of his usual patterns. And as with George everything went remarkably well for me too!
Firstly on awakening I noticed my mind drifting to worries, mostly imaginary mountains made out of molehills. Instead of dwelling on concerns I cleared them by repeating..
"Thank you, thank you, thank you."
Feeling grateful for all I've got and am going to get.
Just by shifting my focus in this different way had a huge domino effect on my entire day.
By opening up to the abundance around me it kept coming.
My daughter's school lunch unexpectedly organised by Dad.
An extra long, hard hug from my darling daughter.
Free mango tasting at the supermarket.
A chance encounter with a newfound friend at the beach.
Teaching offers for next year.
Inspiration to start this blog!
Gift after gift after gift.
So this blog begins as a big "Thank you."
Life's beauty is in the heart of the beholder.
And life is beautiful.
Breathe in your blessings now
I can see your smile widening already.
You are beautiful.
My heart is humming a new tune of continuous thanks...
and the world is echoing back more things to be thankful for.
"The universe is an emanation of your mind.
Everything that you see comes out of you."
~ Robert Adams
All I've written over the decades - books, blog, articles, are to expand my awareness and appreciation. Sharing insights I hope to touch readers with realisations that helped me. A human connection albeit through an inhuman computer.
